THE VIRTUAL EXPERIENCE
All shot completely virtually, Cass was 39 weeks pregnant and locked down at home in Melbourne. I was sitting happily in my slippers on my couch in my own living room in Sydney whilst we took these beautiful pictures. Using an app on my phone I could connect to the camera on her phone and direct the photoshoot as I usually would, whilst also controlling the camera settings to take the perfect photos. Cass’ husband did an amazing job taking direction from me whilst holding the phone. It was such a lovely experience and I am so happy that Cass was able to still have some beautiful maternity photos taken before giving birth to her son a couple of weeks later.
Virtual sessions open up a whole new world of creative innovation with photography and offer a precious, authentic experience that is not possible with other photography mediums. I have found that it creates a more natural, easy going, raw and relaxed environment for the magic of beautiful photography to happen.
