Why you should book a virtual portrait shoot for any milestone!
You may be wondering ‘what is a virtual photoshoot’? and why would you book one when you could meet a photographer in person. The answer is quite simple. Ease and affordability. Virtual photography sessions are taken from the comfort of your own home. They are raw and real snippets of your life. Especially when you are in your newborn haze, or the final weeks of pregnancy, the last thing you really feel like doing is getting dressed up to go outdoors to meet a photographer, yet you don’t want to miss these moments in time which are so fleeting and special. A virtual session makes this simple. All you need to do is download an app to your iphone. I will then direct you through the app to capture beautiful photographs. Giving you images that capture a special moment in time.

When all you need to do for a photography session is download an app and get your partner to hold your phone, whilst you stay warm and cosy in your own home, a photography shoot no longer becomes a ‘too hard basket’ scenario leading to photos never being taken. The ease of the session means we can book it in for any time of the day. You don’t need to get dressed up or put lots of make-up on. That isn’t what these shoots are about. They are simple, raw and authentic keepsakes of a significant moment in your life. Whether you are at the end of your pregnancy, in the newborn haze or a few months into your motherhood journey. These sessions are all about a ‘less is more’ approach.
02. AUTHENTIC and CREATIVE
Because these sessions are simple, at home, and based on a ‘less is more’ approach we are able to create beautiful authentic photographs.
Because of the medium and the simplicity of using a phone to capture the images I can control the light, the angles, and the perspective in a far more creative and abstract way than I usually can with an in-person session. I also find that it’s much easier for the subjects to feel relaxed, and at ease during the session as its a far more comfortable situation posing at home with virtual instructions, than being in the presence of a stranger giving in-person directions.

Session fees and packages are much more affordable than in-person sessions simply due to the ease of the shoot for me.
